To the Editor of the Times
Sir -- Surely the time has come to grant Home Rule to Ireland and to let the Irish people out from under the heavy paw of the British Lion. After decades of violence, we should realize that continued resistance to an idea whose time has come can only result in more violence and pain. Boycotts and assasinations will not cease through an endless progression of Acts of Coercion, Land, or Arrears. We can only hope that the Loin will soon release its prey, a prey which would certainly prove more valuable if not completely devoured.

I am, Sir, your obiedient servent, Dirken Topper

    MORE CHILDREN MISSING FROM PIDDLEBENCH

Between 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock last night another young child, JOHNNY SMYTHE, was found to be missing from his home near the village of Piddlebench. Johnny is the 13th child reported missing from that region in the last 2 months. At this time, Scotland Yard has been unable to find any trace of the missing children. The police are much attacked as a consequence of their having not found the children nor arrested any suspects at this time.

The inhabitants of Piddlebench and the surrounding area are reported to be in a panic. Many of the families in the are are reported to be leaving or have already left home. Scotland Yard has called in its chief instector, Ebenizer Windibank, to personally investigate the crimes as the villagers are increasingly anxious as to the discovery and apprehension of the perpetrator or perpetrators of these crimes.

The Yard has posted a reward of 3000 Pounds Sterling for information leading to the missing children and/or apprehension of the perpetrator.

Investigators are also looking for ROBERT BOOTHE. Boothe, a minister of an unorthodox church in the Piddlebench area, is also missing. It is suspected that Boothe's disappearance may in some way be connected.

To the Editor of the Times
Sir, the recent affir of the missing childen in Piddlebench, makes plain that we have disturbed SUPERNATURAL foces and are paying with our children. Surely if the kidnappings were the work of some present-day mortal human, the police would surely discover his identity and bring him to justice. My son STEVEN, was kidnapped 3 weeks ago. My grief at his loss is boundless, and I pray that he may be found alive. But I despair, for I am convinced that Robert Boone is a servert of Satan, and has meddled in magic and sorcery of which we know naught, and of which we have not the means to control or understand.

M.Thomas, Piddlebench

To the Editor of the Times
Sir -- as a man of science and medicine, I must protest the recent innuendos of supernatural forces at work in the recent disappearances at Piddlebench. In these modern days of advanced scientific progress, we simply cannot in good conscience ascribe to the supernatural effects which so clearly are caused by wicked men. It is clear that evil forces are at work, but those evil forces are the evil of men's deeds, not the work of occult forces. I can only repeat emphatically, that such insinuations are utter nonsense and balderdash, without the slightest scientific basis, and a disgrace to the pages of your venerable newspaper. I pray that the wicked men which are causing so much pain will be soon apprehended. My deepest regrets to the poor families of Piddlebench.

I am, Sir, your obiedient servent, John H. Watson, M.D.
