Fantasy Land

Fantasy land is a place that occupies a paralell dimension to Quinn's quarters. As such, all the rooms in the shop have a counterpart in fantasy land. To wit:

NPCs of Note

The King - This is the deposed king. He is in the form of an orangutan or goat or hybrid. He will be wearing a magic amulet that enables him to speak magically. It flashes lightly whenever he speaks. For someone who already can speak, this gives them the 'voice' advantage.

The Queen Quendaline - She has deposed the king and spoiled the waters in the river, turning the king and his loyal subjects into animals.

Other miscellany:

The queen has some soldiers and demon-dogs that protect her place. There are also some pits with bones in them where she throws undesirables. Use some tough solder/tough dog stats for these guys (Attrs ~ 11/12, Skills ~ 12-16).

In the ruins toward the ocean, there are probably some innocent villagers who could share some rumors Need a rumor/info table.

The king has some subjects that are still loyal to him and who have not completely reverted to animals. Most of the animals in the forest are peaceful and will not attack unless provoked. Even then, they'd probably just run away.

Under the mountain, the Queen is growing some kind of vampire monster, mostly submerged in water, that will kill off the animals once and for all. The PCs could find it if they go under the mountain (likely if they crawl/fall down pipes/drains in the Bathroom or Kitchen). When the PCs figure out what this is, it will call for a fright check, possibly at some minus. There is a crude bracework of wooden beams up above, which, if the PCs are clever enough, can be sabotaged and one of the beams will be driven through the heart of the beast. It's worth some points if they do this. Note that this element is optional and doesn't necessarily need to be included.

The Objective

After convincing him that they are friendly, the king will tell the PCs what happened and that to restore fantasy land they need to find the magic black perl that the Queen has hidden, bring it to the king, and then arrange for him to put it in the fountain in the parthenon and cast some incantation. It would be a good idea for the PCs to come up with a distraction tactic, rather than resorting to combat to do this.

There are a variety of magic items that could be found in a variety of places. The descriptions of the various rooms/places will say "roll on the Magic Items Table" if there's a chance that the PCs might find something of value there.
