The ruling family fell victim to, it is rumored The Cry ofthe Clanricardes, a kind of banshee/ghoul. The vampire Ormond took it over. Because the legend scared people away from it, it made the perfect place to hide the Tear of the Lizard. Ormond lets the IRA use it as a base of operations for smuggling the weapons and supplies they get from Aibailya
